Moroccopolitan Cocktail
DESCRIPTION
A few drops of spicy bitters heat up this sweet pomegranate cocktail. When pomegranates come into season in Marrakesh, there will be a cart on every street corner selling the delicious flesh-covered seeds, which inspired our Moroccopolitan cocktail.
INGREDIENTS
- Cocktail:
- 4 drops The Bitter End Moroccan Bitters
- 2 ounces pomegranate-infused vodka (recipe below)
- 1 ounce honey syrup
- ¾ ounce lemon juice
- Pomegranate-infused vodka ingredients:
- 750 ml bottle Vodka
- Arils from 1 ripe pomegranate
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cocktail:
- Add the bitters to a chilled cocktail glass and set aside.
- Add the remaining ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice.
- Stir, and strain into the prepared glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
- Pomegranate-infused vodka ingredients:
- Add both ingredients to a 1-quart Mason jar, seal and let stand for 1 week.
- Strain out the pomegranate arils and re-bottle.
