Moroccan Harcha Semolina Pan-Fried Flatbread

DESCRIPTION

INGREDIENTS
 

  • 2 1/4 cups fine semolina
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup milk (lukewarm)

INSTRUCTIONS
 

  • In a bowl, mix the semolina, butter, oil, salt and milk.
  • Knead all the ingredients to get a homogeneous dough.
  • Split the dough in two and shape it into balls.
  • Place the ball on a little semolina, and sprinkle some of it on top of the ball.
  • Flatten the dough with the palm of your hand to a 1/2 inch thickness.
  • Cook it at low temperature in a frying pan for 10 minutes on each side.
  • Serve warm or cold with honey and mint tea.
