Perla's Chickpea and Spinach Soup

Ingredients

fresh spinach
rinsed thoroughly
15
oz
chickpeas
canned
1
clove
garlic
peeled
3
sprigs
cilantro
rinsed
1/2
tsp
cumin
1/2
tsp
paprika

quart
water
Instructions
In a medium pot bring water boil to a boil the liquid.
Strain chickpea liquid from can into the pot.
Add in all the ingredients and boil for 5-7 minutes.
*Optional version: Once slightly cooled, use immersion stick blender to blend into a smooth and silky soup.
