Moroccan Fish for Tisha B'Av
Our family's traditional dish, for breaking the Tisha B'Av fast, includes this succulent cooked Moroccan fish in tomato, parsley and cilantro. It's a subtle, yet flavorful dish that despite its fancy appearance, is shockingly easy to make.

lb
fish
cod or other flaky white fish
2
tomatoes
peeled, cored and diced
3
spring onions
chop top and bottom parts off, dice the rest of the leaves.

cloves
garlic
minced
½
cup
fresh parsley
finely chopped
¼ to 1/3
cup
fresh cilantro
finely chopped

tsp
paprika
salt
to taste

tbsp
olive oil
Instructions
Salt fish, let rest for 15 minutes, then rinse it to kasher it.
In pan, fry garlic, and when it looks crisp add paprika, salt and tomatoes.
Lay fish in pan.
Cover fish fillets with parsley, cilantro and spring onion.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
