Harira "Silk" Soup with Meat

vermicelli

chilled water
Instructions
Sauté onions and tomatoes in saucepan. Pour into pot and add chickpeas, lentils, fava beans, celery, cilantro, meat and saffron.
Cover with water, and cook at low heat for 1 hour.
Dissolve the flour in 1 cup of chilled water. Slowly stir in flour/water mixture into soup. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Stir vermicelli into the soup and cook covered at low heat for an additional 15 minutes. Served warm.
