Ingredients
1boxcouscous5.8 oz box
1 1/4cupwater
1/2tsppepper
1/2tspsalt
1/2tspturmeric
1/4tspmace
2tbspolive oil
Instructions
Pour the couscous into a large bowl, add pepper, salt, turmeric, mace and oil and mix thoroughly. Cover the couscous with water and gently "knead" it with your hands to separate the grains.
Cover and set aside for 30 minutes or until the water is absorbed. (If the grains are still hard, add a little more water and set aside.)
Optional: Before serving the couscous, bring 1 cup of water to boil and dissolve a meat or chicken bouillon cube to make a broth that you pour over it. Serve warm.
