One of my favorite desserts are brownies. Specifically, the brownies in the corners of the pan. You know the kind ... the caramelized, crunchier, crusty corners that still have a soft center. So, today I decided to give my new Pampered Chef Brownie Pan a try. I also took the easy way out and used Duncan Hines' Chewy Fudge Brownie mix - not just because they're kosher and parve, but for under $2, even a homemade recipe from scratch would have a hard time competing. Let's just say Duncan has this category nailed.
Tech Specs
The pan measures 16" x 11" overall and has 12 individual wells that hold ¼ cup each. It is nonstick and made with heavy-duty "aluminized steel" that must be hand washed.
The Test
I preheated the oven and followed the direction on the box. Filled each well about halfway and then popped it into the oven for 20 minutes. I pulled the pan out and let the brownies cool in the pan to see if they would naturally shrink and detach themselves from the well walls.
The Result
After 10-15 minutes, I turned the pan upside down and all 12 perfectly shaped and crusted "corner" brownies slid out. They were amazing (and so is the pan). It worked like a charm! It gets a 5-Star rating. Keep in mind, it's only the first use. The true test with these nonstick pans are time. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, grab a corner.

Thanks for letting me know.
I have been baking for 55 + years and never knew this pan existed.

Thank you so much for posting this helpful info! I am trying it right now. Making chocolate peppermint brownies in my pampered chef brownie pan. Baking for 20 minutes then will let them set for 15 minutes and hope they all turn out of the pan. I have used my pan many times but getting them out on one piece - not me. So I hope this works! I am doing a catering job for my Son’s Christmas party.

You're more than welcome. I hope they "panned" out for you! 😉

Lisa - that's a great idea! I'm going to use it for our dairy-free cornbread recipe for Thanksgiving!
